I absolutely LOVE using the Questup addon. It cuts DAYS off of my leveling times and it makes my World of Warcraft experience a lot more fun. The only thing I didn't love about using the guide was how little documentation was included with it. I thought I'd write up a quick overview for people like me that needed a little help.
First of all, let's discuss how to turn the addon on. You can't use it if it isn't active, so this is pretty important! Right after you log in to your World of Warcraft account you'll see your character selection screen. In the bottom left corner of this screen, you'll see a little red WoW button that says "Addons". Click here to pull up the addons menu. Once you get that up, just click the check box next to the guide you want to use, either "Questup Alliance" or "Questup Horde", depending on which type of character you'll be playing.
Once the guide is active, you'll be able to see it when you pull up the character you're playing. There are two windows you'll see right away. One is a list of the quest items in the order you should do them, and the other is a small compass arrow pointing you to the top item on that list.
Both of these items can be moved around wherever you like. I like to put my compass right at the top of the screen, and the items list on the right hand side below the mini-map. From here on out the usage is pretty straightforward. As you complete a list item it will automatically disappear from your list. If it doesn't, just right click on the list item to remove it manually.
If you want to turn questup off, all you need to do is click on the little red and blue button on your mini-map area in the upper right hand corner of your screen. This will make the items list disappear, though it does leave the compass arrow visible. If you want it gone altogether, just go back to the screen you found to turn it on and uncheck the box.
